Our main aim is that learning to swim should be enjoyable. If a pupil is happy in the water, progress will be quicker. We are flexible in approach, using whatever the child needs to give him confidence. Our success rate is very good but we offer no guarantee that your child will achieve a set target in a term, as we know from years of experience that every child is different. However where possible A.S.A. badges and certificates are awarded at the end of the term depending on each child's achievement. We cover the complete range of A.S.A. awards (rather than just the National Stages) and try to ensure that each child tries for the badge suited to his or her ability. A.S.A awards offered at Hatch End Swim School can include distance badges, skills badges, speed awards, personal survival badges, Rookie Lifeguard certificates and awards for synchronised swimming skills, diving and water polo.
Our classes are of mixed ability and because Hatch End Pool is slightly deeper than most progress to the next class is dependent on confidence in deeper water.
